BM Ice 525 - Backes&Müller

BM Ice 525

The BMIce 525 serves as the interface between source devices of various formats and our B&M speakers.

- In addition to the existing analog and digital inputs, the BMIce also features an aptX HD Bluetooth 5.0 receiver that allows for "lossless" streaming directly from a tablet, smartphone, laptop, or other Bluetooth source.

- For the BMIce 525’s state-of-the-art vinyl input, Backes & Müller has developed a special solution for the necessary phono equalization. The RIAA equalization curve is implemented with precise time and phase accuracy using our FIRTEC equalization. Component tolerances or increased noise from the analog amplification stage are eliminated. Music from vinyl is reproduced with unprecedented clarity, a fact confirmed repeatedly in various independent listening tests.

- With the B&M-PPG Remote, you can fine-tune the speakers to perfectly match the room and their placement. If desired, you can also use it to adjust various playback devices to suit your listening preferences, among other things.

Easy to use - clear to hear

Controlled remotely via an IR remote control, analog signals are converted to digital and then transmitted losslessly in digital form to our speakers. Alternatively, you can connect the BMIce to the rest of your existing hi-fi system via a balanced analog connection. Digital music content can also be fed directly to B&M speakers via the USB input or Bluetooth—uncompressed and losslessly—in a purer, more pristine form than ever before.

The BMIce (FSVC) volume control adjusts the volume to the desired level without any loss of resolution, regardless of which input is currently active. In addition to the digital connection, the BMIce also offers an analog, balanced output with performance at the limits of what is physically possible (HD-DAC), available in both XLR and unbalanced RCA formats.
